Let’s talk about the cheap folding table from Jysk model Kuleskog and how it lived up to our expectations
I love it when we have racks, tables, and shelves for all our needs. And there are never too many tables, and we decided to take another one (in fact, it is already the third. The second one is in the kitchen and it is also foldable, but more substantial). This time, the choice fell on a model from the Jysk – Kuleskog.
Why him
Well…he’s cheap. We bought it for about 38$. By the way, on the cons. The delivery of the table takes about 2 weeks, and with the current realities at the border, it may even take a little longer. This minus is relevant “for now”, in general, for such a price, you can wait.
Another reason for the purchase was the size. As I said earlier, we have a table with the same dimensions, so the dimensions are quite clear. 8 adults can easily fit behind it (up to 10 if desired, but with less comfort). In addition, the weight of the table is about 12.5 kg. It is light and will fit into the trunk of most cars. At the same time, it is not a “toy”, but a complete table.
Two weeks later
This little box came to us:
You don’t always understand by the size how much “what is small” came to you. Because according to my own feelings, the table in the box should have been less than in fact, but it is not. Everything is normal. Except for one. In the reviews, one person indicated that the table could not withstand heavy loads for picnic. Well…”shit question” I said, and…
І stood on the table. In the folded form, however, my 50 kg of plastic withstood. Looking ahead – when I sat on it in the unfolded state – there were no problems with my weight either. So, not all reviews are the pure truth, well, or, as I wrote, “what do you eat on picnics that weighs more than 50 kg?”
Everything unfolds simply. It is enough to open the table with two clips, which can be seen on the right in the photo.
Fasteners ensure reliable holding of both halves of the table during transportation. And in general, it is not an extra element of the table.
The labels, as always, are as interesting as they are confusing. You can wash. In cold temperatures, it is not advisable to leave it in the yard (although, my wife said, that her relatives in Germany had the same one standing in the yard for many years and nothing happened), it is impossible to put the glasses in direct sunlight, and also put hot drinks without a special stand. You can use it in houses and camping, but…you can’t drink with it? Probably.. 🙂
This is roughly what the table looks like when unfolded, or rather its bottom.
The bottom of the table has a cellular structure, which increases the rigidity of the surface and prevents the table from bending under a certain load. The instructions for the table state that the maximum load should be 50 kg, and considering that I was sitting on it in the unfolded state, this is a completely fair weight. Frankly speaking, when I made lighting for flowers and stood on a table made of plywood -crackling sound told me that even if the table top is made of “harder” material – it should not be given a load of more than 50 kg and that these tables are not created for such as a whole.
In the working position, the table is fixed on such clamps. Again. In the table that we have made of plywood, these clamps are a little larger, however… do we need larger ones for a load of 50 kg? I think not.
The surface of the table is quite flat, the sides have pleasant curves. In my opinion, this is an ideal table option for children’s creativity, since no matter what happens there, the child will not be able to injure himself (as it would be if the table had sharp corners like plywood).
The table legs have a cool shape. In general, the table resembles something that we have seen in American movies, where they use tables of a similar design in dining rooms or at some events. In our market, such tables have not found (yet?) great popularity, although in my opinion it is a very practical option and a good analogue of the tables that we are used to using for gatherings on the street.
General impressions
We really liked the design of the table, so we immediately ordered two such tables, one of which went to a friend. Another table was ordered for my brother’s birthday. For this price (38$), this is a very practical option both for sitting in the yard and for household chores such as transplanting flowers or a hobby. Such a table is also very well suited for assembling puzzles for people who do not have much space for a stationary table. In this case, it can always be folded and hidden somewhere, because in this form it takes up a minimum of space. It is more practical than aluminium counterparts, including due to the fact that the legs are steel. At the same time, due to the fact that they are poly, the table weighs no more than 13 kg.
Do I recommend it for purchase? Yes, completely! 🙂
